ambient, experimental and noise duo founded by carlos fierro and marco fierro in 2010. stalaktos creates multiphonic soundscapes in the tradition of free improvisation. their music evokes spontaneous, immersive and subsonic electromagnetic pulses that emerge from the underground.

currently they have six releases, three on their own label proto stalaktos™, two on the german netlabel surrism-phonoethics and one more on the mexican netlabel abolipop/suplex. also stalaktos has been feature so far in ten compilations from united states, england, germany and mexico with artists like oren ambarchi, fred frith, bob ostertag, phil minton, vultures quartet, gx jupitter-larsen, among others.

stalaktos has offered live performances at museo universitario de arte contemporaneo (muac), laboratorio arte alameda (laa), ex teresa arte actual, cafe jazzorca, fundacion ex molino, trolebus roma, museo britanico americano en mexico (mbam), museo del juguete antiguo de mexico (mujam), uam xochimilco, vault and multiforo alicia. also stalaktos has offered live performances in festivals like cha'ak'ab paaxil (merida, yucatan), noisefest iii (puebla, puebla) and tlacoloni (tlaxcala, tlaxcala).

stalaktos has played and/or collaborate with: undress béton, reed evan rosenberg, juan josé rivas, rogelio sosa, mario de vega, itzam cano, arcángel constantini, iván abreu, tana barbier, lisa gervassi, enrique arriaga, ricardo dorantes and antonio domínguez.

marco fierro also performs with his live solo act: burstbot.
